Surester®, the ECO-polyester resin!

Thanks to their low price, polyester resins remain among the most widely used resins, although these products often cause noticeable odor nuisance. Want to avoid that? Then choose the Surester® ECO resin, an almost odorless polyester resin. Surester® is an in house development by V Sure and is a unique styrene free resin in its category. This ensures it does not have the penetrating smell typical of polyester resins.

Surester® eco-resin is vinylester-based, but odourless. That makes it perfect for use in a classroom, studio, or workshop where odor nuisance is not acceptable. It can be applied to materials such as PS foam (styrofoam) and in combination with fiberglass. You process it with the same MEKP hardener using a roller or brush.

With Surester® eco-resin, you use exactly the same working method as with a standard resin. Like polyester resin, it is suitable for casting, laminating or as a gelcoat - topcoat. In combination with fibreglass, you can use it to make light and extremely strong moulded parts, such as statues and figures, that are water-resistant and last for many years. Besides reinforcing with fibreglass, you can also add colouring to this resin. 

The possibilities and different applications are endless! The big advantage is that this resin is low-odour and completely free of solvent (styrene). As a result, you can also apply Surester® eco-resin to EPS foam (isomo).
