Casting up openings in wood
In recent years, decorative coloured epoxies have been used in the interior construction of kitchens and furniture. Thin or ultra-thick layers of crystal-clear casting epoxy are poured directly onto or into the wood. This gives a particularly spectacular and extraordinarily durable result.
In addition to traditional wood glues, there are high-quality epoxies available. For years, these resins have offered the ideal solution for bonding or joining waterproof wood. For example in boat building, where wooden boats are fully assembled and then sealed watertight with an epoxy coating.
Call to actionFor protecting panelling in cafés or restaurants, we recommend water-based varnish or topcoat in various gloss levels, ranging from high gloss to super matt. This colourless varnish is suitable for all types of wood and has high abrasion and UV resistance. It is also available with anti-bacterial and flame retardant qualities.
Call to actionFor sealing wood, to prevent wood rot in applications such as wooden support beams or window or door frames on verandas, we recommend the G4 sealer.
Call to actionYou can easily pre-treat a screed or concrete with the G4 sealer before installing parquet floor. This practical 1K PU resin penetrates deep into the substrate and creates a water-impermeable layer. You can then continue working on this with a parquet adhesive.
Call to actionFilling and finishing interior doors is quick and efficient with a polyester putty. Use the fine finishing filler FEW, on which you can immediately continue working with any paint system.
Call to actionDamaged wood can be repaired with a fibre-reinforced filler. You can apply this in places that are difficult to reach. Thanks to the easy spreadable fibre paste, you not only fill, but also strengthen the affected wood in one go.
